Nikon D80 | Nikkor AF 24mm f/2.8D

Thought my girlfriend was going to smack me for asking bikini Miku for pics but it turned out okay XD

This cosplayer was incredibly nice and friendly and this is the first of two I'm going to upload.

I tried a new editing process with this picture. Mainly I wanted to try out MoreBeaute2, a free skin smoothing app for iPad. I will forever run it before Snapseed and such because as good of a job as it does with skin smoothing, it creates images which I consider flat and without dimension. At least when I run Snapseed or another editing application after MoreBeaute2, I can restore some of that dimension to the image. For the skin smoothing purpose though, it works great. I only did about 1/3 smoothing in this image... it can get way too crazy... I don't like complete fakeness.

It's mostly edited on my iPad... too bad the apps (MoreBeaute2, iWatermark) I used strip EXIF data, I prefer to leave it intact, I like to share settings ><

Shot RAW -> Converted to JPG (ViewNX 2) -> GIMP 2.8 (blemish removal) -> MoreBeaute2 (iPad) -> Snapseed (iPad) -> iWatermark (iPad)

Funny how much I go through now when I used to never retouch anything right?

Nice shot. Love the colour!
the Nikkor AF 24mm is manual-focus only with a D80 body, right....How to you like it being a manual-only lens?

The D80 has a focus motor so I did have AF :)

I thought it didn't. In my case,,,,no motor (d5100) ;(
