Koromo, Up Close.

I just bought a set of Close up filters. Effectively I turned my 50mm 1.4 lens which normally needs around 1 ft. between it and the focus point into a macro lens that let me get within inches of my Koromo figure (using +4 close filter).

It also definitely shrinks the depth of field like crazy... we're talking like a few mm in focus at f/1.4, CRAZY SMALL. You can see how defocused it gets really fast... but I love the effect because it feels kind of dreamy and the background looks awesome!

This image was not post-processed at all, it was only run through pixel fixer to clean up the hot pixels my D40 gives and converted straight to JPG.
