I've rid myself of the AF-S 80-200 f/2.8D even though it served me well for the last year.  I could never achieve sharpness that I wanted with shots at longer focal lengths, even stopped down.  It was a fun lens to use when things were farther away (and it wasn't important to have perfect sharpness) but most of what I shoot is portraits and so ideally I should be using lenses suited to portraiture... and I like primes.   In it's place, I now own the AF DC Nikkor 135mm f/2D and my next planned lens is the AF Nikkor 180mm f/2.8D.  After that I will update my primes one at a time over the course of the next few years.   My primary shoot lenses

Hi all. This post is mostly geared towards other photographers... So I have an 80-200 f/2.8 zoom lens which is incredibly sharp, even wide open at f/2.8.  The main problem I notice with it... is that as my focal length increases... my images tend to be mis-focused, or unsharp somehow. Now I know that blur is mostly due to shutter speed / camera shake.  The problem is, I even see that my images look a bit "off" at shutter speeds like 1/1000s @ 200mm which is well faster than the recommended 1 / focal length recommendation I don't think this is an issue of blur. It seems that my keeper rate with the lens when I shoot it at 80mm is probably

HEY YOU! YOU'RE PRETTY COOL. WE SHOULD DO MORE TOGETHER.

I was just curious if you were attending Acen 2015 and if you planning on doing private photo shoots!

Very sorry, I just checked my DA after months and saw this ><

I was at ACen.  Generally my Facebook page is the best place to get updates on convention stuff and when shoot requests open and close.  www.facebook.com/rensuchanphot…
Did we take any not-so-tree-like pictures with my Vanellope cosplay last year?
thanks Rensu san~
Of course, it was fun meeting you :3
